I have to say that my experience has been nothing other than incredible. It was my first Marathon and Isy took care of my body and my nutrition and she was with me ‘in my sessions’ but also stayed with me ‘outside’ and checked in post to see how I was. Her wealth of knowledge and experience is second to none and my advice is embrace what she offers and go with it because it works. If you are looking for a nice massage and cup of tea then Isy is not for you. If you are serious and looking for results then be brave, be all in and go with her and you will get what you need. For me - that was a complete first marathon, feeing good and more to come ….and Isy will be part of the next journey when I decide what it is. Thankyou!!!!

I initially went to see Isy to just get the knots out of my back. However after a preliminary chat where I reeled off various back and leg issues she set to work trying to resolve those. With the acupuncture, massage and exercise program I soon started to see a difference. Isy would check in with me regularly and was very encouraging throughout. Fingers crossed the issues with my glute/hip/leg are now resolved but should I need assistance again I will definitely go back to her, highly recommend.

I’ve had an excellent experience working with Elite performance therapist. Isobel’s knowledge, professionalism, and attention to detail have made a real difference to my recovery and overall physical performance. Isobel takes the time to understand the root cause of issues rather than just treating the symptoms, and then explains everything clearly so i understand the purpose behind each exercise or treatment. This approach builds confidence and makes it easier to stay committed to the recovery process. What really stands out is Isobels ability to combine technical expertise with a genuinely supportive and encouraging attitude. Sessions are always well structured, and she adapts treatments and plans based on progress and feedback. As a result, I’ve seen noticeable improvements in mobility, strength, and injury prevention. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to improve performance, recover from injury, or maintain long-term physical health.

I have been seeing Isy for the last 4 months. I initially contacted her because of leg and lower back pain that was starting to cause me problems with hiking and standing still. Isy quickly identified some long standing issues and set to work on me. She has worked wonders and more recently has helped me train/prepare for an epic adventure to hike to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro. I am pleased to say that with Isy’s strength and core training I reached the summit. Isy is a lovely person and she takes time to understand her clients so that each session is beneficial. If you need someone you can trust, look no further!

I've seen a dozen therapists over the decades but Issy has been the most effective and dedicated. Since I've been consistent with preventative sessions a long term issue has been fully resolved. I wouldn't go anywhere else now, Issy is party of my long term longetivity plan.

What Does Treatment Involve?

Every appointment begins with a thorough assessment to understand the cause of your symptoms, rather than simply treating the area that feels painful.

We’ll discuss your medical history, lifestyle and goals before carrying out a physical examination. Based on our findings, we’ll explain what we think is causing your symptoms and recommend the most appropriate treatment.

Your treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs and may include hands-on therapy, rehabilitation exercises, advice on managing your symptoms and recommendations to help reduce the risk of the problem returning.

Why Choose Elite Performance Therapy?

At Elite Performance Therapy, we take the time to understand the cause of your symptoms, not just treat the pain. Every treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs, goals and lifestyle.

Our aim is to help you move better, recover well and feel confident managing your condition. We combine thorough assessments, evidence-based treatment and clear advice to support your recovery, whether you’re dealing with an injury, persistent pain or simply want to move more comfortably.

Is sports massage only for athletes?

No. Despite its name, sports massage is suitable for anyone experiencing muscular aches, tension or stiffness. Whether you exercise regularly, have a physically demanding job or spend long hours sitting at a desk, sports massage can help improve movement and reduce discomfort.

How often should I have a sports massage?

This depends on your lifestyle and goals. Some people benefit from treatment every 4–6 weeks for maintenance, while others may need more frequent sessions during injury rehabilitation or while training for an event. We’ll recommend a treatment plan that’s right for you.

Will sports massage be painful?

Sports massage can sometimes feel uncomfortable, particularly when treating tight muscles or areas of tension, but it should always remain within your comfort level. We will always adjust the pressure throughout the treatment and explain what we’re doing.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. Depending on the area being treated, you may be asked to remove or adjust some clothing, but towels will always be provided to ensure your privacy and comfort.

How long does a sports massage appointment last?

Most appointments last between 45 and 60 minutes. Your first appointment includes an assessment so we can understand your symptoms, discuss your goals and provide the most appropriate treatment.

Do I need a referral?

No. You don’t need a referral to book an appointment at Elite Performance Therapy. Simply book online, and we’ll carry out a thorough assessment before recommending the most appropriate treatment for your needs.
