When I first met Jake at the clinic, he was very professional in the way he approached the area in pain. We had a consultation first where he asked for some more information on the injury so he could take the right steps in making my healing process the best it can be. … I would definitely recommend Jake! Not only is he professional and highly effective in what he does but he is understanding with a caring nature to support your recovery.

Can’t recommend Jake enough. Very professional and progressive with his approach – he helped me get back to playing full 90-minute matches after being out for 8 weeks. His sports massage is top quality and he’s always on time which makes a big difference. What stands out most is how much pride he takes in understanding the issue properly and tailoring his treatment to get you back playing as quickly and safely as possible. If you’re dealing with an injury or just need proper recovery work, he’s the one to go to.
Jake – BSc (Hons)
Jake is a Sports Therapist holding a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Sciences and an MSc in Sports Therapy. He brings a scientific and practical approach to treatment, with a genuine focus on helping clients overcome pain, improve movement, and regain confidence in their bodies.
Jake has developed extensive experience working across professional football, rugby, and private clinical practice, giving him a well-rounded understanding of injury management, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement. He is currently the Lead Sports Therapist at Swindon Supermarine FC, where he oversees the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of players throughout the season, managing both acute injuries and long-term recovery plans within a competitive senior football environment.
Alongside this role, Jake works within the Cheltenham Town FC Academy, supporting the development and welfare of young athletes through injury prevention strategies, pitch-side care, rehabilitation programming, and return-to-play planning. His experience within academy football has provided valuable insight into the physical demands placed on developing athletes and the importance of balancing performance, recovery, and long-term athletic development.
Earlier in his career, Jake completed a studentship with the Gloucester Rugby Junior Academy, where he gained hands-on experience working within an elite youth rugby setting. This opportunity helped develop his skills in athlete monitoring, injury assessment, rehabilitation, and multidisciplinary collaboration within a high-performance sporting environment.
In addition to his work in sport, Jake has previous experience in private clinical practice, treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions affecting both active individuals and members of the general public. This has enabled him to develop a versatile approach to treatment, combining evidence-based rehabilitation, hands-on therapy, and movement-focused interventions to help clients achieve lasting results. Working across both sporting and clinical settings has equipped him with the ability to support everyone from elite athletes striving for peak performance to individuals simply looking to move pain-free and return to everyday activities with confidence.
