Hip Pain

Hip Pain

Hip pain can make everyday activities such as walking, climbing stairs, exercising or even sleeping uncomfortable. Whether your pain has developed gradually or started following an injury, it’s important to identify the underlying cause rather than simply treating the symptoms.

At Elite Performance Therapy, every appointment begins with a thorough assessment to understand the cause of your hip pain before recommending the most appropriate treatment. Our aim is to reduce pain, improve movement and help you return to your normal activities as quickly and safely as possible.

What Causes Hip Pain?

Hip pain can have many different causes. It may develop following an injury, repetitive movements, muscle weakness, poor posture or changes in activity levels. Common causes include muscle strains, tendon irritation, bursitis, arthritis and reduced hip mobility.

A thorough assessment helps identify the likely cause of your symptoms so treatment can be tailored to your individual needs rather than simply focusing on the area where you feel pain.

How We Can Help

At Elite Performance Therapy, every treatment begins with a thorough assessment to understand what’s causing your hip pain.

Treatment may include sports massage, remedial therapy, soft tissue techniques, stretching, mobility work and a personalised rehabilitation programme designed specifically for you. Where appropriate, medical acupuncture (dry needling) may also be used to help reduce muscle tension and relieve pain.

Our goal isn’t simply to ease your symptoms. We want to improve the way your hip moves, reduce the likelihood of your pain returning and help you get back to doing the things you enjoy.

Keeping Your Hips Healthy

Small changes often make a big difference. Improving strength, mobility and movement patterns, alongside regular exercise and good posture, can all help reduce the risk of hip pain returning.

Understanding the cause of your symptoms is just as important as treating them, which is why we always combine hands-on treatment with practical advice and rehabilitation where appropriate.

We’ll also give you simple exercises and advice that you can continue at home, along with recommendations for ongoing treatment if needed to help keep your hips moving comfortably.

Don’t Let Hip Pain Hold You Back

If hip pain is affecting your work, sport or everyday life, we’re here to help. Early assessment and treatment can often prevent a small problem from becoming a long-term issue.

If you’re struggling with hip pain, we’d be happy to help. Book your appointment online and we’ll carry out a thorough assessment before creating a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

What our clients say:

I attended with Isy on a number of occasions for a shoulder issue and sciatica on each occasion I found Isy to be professional and knowledgeable, she started each visit with a detailed question and answer session after which she would recommend a treatment I was given the opportunity to back out if I felt the treatment was painful.
The prescribed treatment was successful after which I was given a detailed exercise plan and encouraged to contact Isy should I need advice or guidance with the exercise plan.
Isy also followed up on my progress.via WhatsApp I have no hesitation in recommending Isy and Elite performance
